Q. How long does the door supervisor’s course take?

A. Four days which can be split over two weekends. Check our dates 30 hrs of training required.

Q. Can you travel to our business premises to teach on site?

A. Yes, if it meets our requirements.

Q. How soon can I start work after passing the exam?

A. Results are available approx ten days after passing the course and certificates will be posted to you six to eight weeks on completing the course.

You must then apply to the S.I.A (Security Industry Authority) for the licence, on receiving it you may work. You must not work with out it.

Q. How do I pay, can payment be made on the day?

A. Cheques should be made payable to SIA Badge Solutions and should be cleared prior to attending. We have PayPal on line, cash can be paid on the day, but must be the total cost of the course. All our courses require a fourty pound deposit on booking.

Q. How do I book the course is there any discount for a group booking?

A. Book online or phone to book groups at our discount. We have PayPal facility online. Or post out payment, sometimes we can collect payment, receipts given on all payments.

Q. Does a security guard licence example (retail or gateman) allow me to work as a door supervisor?

A. No you need a front line door supervisor licence. But this licence allows you to work as a security guard (retail. Gateman, ect).

Q. Can I re-sit the exam should I need to?

A. Yes we offer a free re-sit on the exam (no extra charge), attend on exam day only.

Q. How can the S.I.A licence benefit me?

A. Its a recognised level two national door supervisor certificate( that may open doors for you), it enables you to work around the UK, it can give you a full or part time income, its also proof of a C.R.B Check at date of issue to future employers.

Q. How long does the licence last?

A. The licence expires after three years, you then reapply for a replacement, at the present date 2009; the application for replacement requires you to post the application form with the fee and no further training is required.

Q. On the door supervisor course do I have to take part in hands on restraining (arm locks, ect)?

A. No nothing no hands on or contact on the course.

Q. What should I have with me?

A. You must have a photographic proof of id (passport, driving licence, ect.), four passport photos and a note pad and pen.

Q. What is the dress code for the course?

A. None it’s a casual smart, relaxed, class room environment.

Q. What is the age requirement?

A. Eighteen is the S.I.A. door supervisor requirement.
